Serving Polk County, North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina for 29 years.

About Us

History

Founded in 1981 as Hospice of Polk County, our Medicare-certified, not-for-profit agency has continuously, since 1981, provided care for individuals, and their families, who live with terminal illness. In 1995, we changed our name to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills to reflect our service to patients and families in a larger community.

Those We Serve

Hospice serves Polk County, North Carolina and the northern communities of Spartanburg and Greenville counties in South Carolina, from Landrum down to Inman and from Glassy Mountain over to Fingerville. All services are available to children and adults of any age, religion, race, or end-stage illness.

Affirming Life

Today, 85 professional staff members and 250 trained volunteers provide expert care to hundreds of people each year through a variety of services that help them understand and live better with serious and terminal illness, loss and grief. We strive to improve our community’s quality of living and dying through hospice care, palliative care, bereavement care and education..
